Terms of use
The licence
Zakati is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add what is particular to Zakati.
A calculation aid, not a ruling
Zakati is a calculation aid, not a religious ruling. Its guide is general information, not a fatwa. Where scholars differ, the app shows the positions side by side and applies the one you choose. For your own situation, consult a qualified scholar.
Zakati is not financial, tax or legal advice, and it does not move or hold money.
Your figures and the prices used
The app works from what you enter; keeping it complete and correct is yours to do. Gold, silver and exchange prices come from free public feeds and may be delayed, missing or wrong. The app shows which prices a figure uses, and you can type your own. Check the result before you rely on it.
Zakati Pro
- Yearly: a subscription that renews automatically each year at the price shown in the app, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is taken from your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends. Manage or cancel it in Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions.
- Lifetime: a single payment that keeps Pro on your Apple Account without renewal.
- A free trial is offered once per Apple Account. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
The free version keeps working without Pro.
Backups
A backup can only be opened with the passphrase it was saved with. If it is forgotten, it cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Zakati is provided as it is, and we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on its figures. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
